Talks on Tap
Come check out Talks on Tap, Charleston's best event to tip back a unique brew and discuss things that really matter. With an eclectic crowd that ranges from college students to the retired, we meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the back room of Juanita Greenberg's to tackle life's toughest questions and address society's most pressing issues in a thought-provoking respectful forum. It's sharing who we are as Christ-followers at its best. Experience the centuries-old tavern tradition of debate and discussion remodeled for the new schedules and sensibilities of today. All ages are welcome for the talks. Ages twenty-one and up for the taps.

A Friendly Debate: The Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street Go to Washington
Though they may not always want to admit it, the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street movements have a good deal in common. So we're bringing together Tea Party supporter, lawyer and 2010 congressional candidate Larry Kabrovsky and Occupy Charleston representative Courtney Fuller for a friendly debate on what the TP and OWS have in common, their points of divergence, and which movement has been more effective in creating change--and why! Join us at the Southend Brewery--with our own personal bartender--for a constructive discussion and Q&A on politics and protest.

Multifaith Panel: What is Worship?
What is worship? Is it ritual and rite? Prayer? Praise songs? A lifestyle? We've invited a panel local religious leaders representing Islamic, Jewish, Unitarian, and Christian perspectives to address what "worship" means for their faith communities, how it is practiced, and conversely, what idolatry looks like as well. As usual, there will be plenty of time set aside for Q&A after.
